DES : df _ 9/15/92 (059/30) <br /> O R I G I N A L 9/21/92 <br /> R E S O L U T I O N NO. 11844 <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION <br /> OF AGREEMENT WITH REDWOOD CITY PUBLIC LIBRARY <br /> FOR FAMILIES IN PARTNERSHIP PROGRAM <br /> (CDBG) <br /> WHEREAS, the Redwood City Public Library (the "Library") <br /> conducts Families in Partnership Program for residents of the <br /> City of Redwood City under the designation, "Project Read" (the <br /> "Program") ; and <br /> WHEREAS , Library has requested financial assistance in order <br /> to conduct the Program during the fiscal year commencing July 1 , <br /> 1992 , and ending June 30 , 1993 ; and <br /> WHEREAS , the City of Redwood City has reviewed said request <br /> and desires to allocate to Library the sum of Eight Thousand <br /> Seven Hundred and Seventy and No/100 Dollars ($8 ,770 . 00) from its <br /> Community Development Block Grant funds for the foregoing <br /> purpose; and <br /> WHEREAS , an agreement providing for such funding has been <br /> presented to , and reviewed by, the Council; and <br /> WHEREAS , it is the intention and desire of this Council to <br /> approve said agreement and authorize its execution; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> AS FOLLOWS : <br /> That certain agreement entitled, "Families in Partnership <br /> Program (CDBG)" , (form dated 9/15/92) , by and between the City of <br /> Redwood City and Redwood City Public Library Project Read, a copy <br /> of which agreement is on file in the office of the City Clerk, to <br />
