<br />.135 <br /> <br />MINUTES OF ADJOURNED 5 MAY, 1971 MEETING <br />REDWOOD CITY PARK & RECREATION COMMISSION <br />12 MAY, 1971 <br />7:30 p.m. <br /> <br /> <br />Chairman Thompson called to order the Commission at~ 7:30 pm noting that <br />Commissioner Terrill and Commissioner Knecht were absent--(Commissioner <br />Knecht arrived at 7:36 pm). <br /> <br />A letter was received by Chairman Thompson relating to the fact that <br />Commisßioner~Terrinwas having her 25th anniversary on 12 May, 1971, and <br />asking that she be excused. Chairman Thompson noted this fact and had <br />the Secretary read the letter to the Commission. <br /> <br />A report by the Ad Hoc Committee was made to study the proposal made by <br />Mr. Jack Brooke of San~Mateo County Park & Recreation Department on. Bike, <br />Hike, & Horse Trail. <br /> <br />Commissioner Schenck and Guida met with Mr. Ed Davenport and traversed the <br />area and discussed points of view expressed by the Commission as to feasi- <br />bility and right of ways of the trail. <br /> <br />After discussion~pro and con, Chairman"Thompson asked for a motion. The <br />motion was that the Redwood City Park & Recreation Commission desires to <br />recommend to the City Council its approval of the proposed Bike, Hike and <br />Horse Trail as presented~by San Mateo County Park & Recreation Department. <br /> <br />The yote taken: Ayes, 5; Noe, 1. <br />in her letter an Aye vote. <br /> <br />Absentee Commissioner Terrill indicated <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />The meeting was adjourned at 8:08 pm. <br /> <br />Respectfully submitted, <br /> <br />Jack A. Mr. Stuart, <br />just prior to ~e Æeti~1 had returned secretary's records and s~1ies <br />and had picked up his name plaque. Chairman Thompson thanked Mr. Stuart <br />and wished him well.
