10/16/00 <br />ORIGINAL <br />RESOLUTION NO. 14050 <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID FOR THE PURCHASE OF ONE <br />(1) SANDBAG MAKING EQUIPMENT AND AUTHORIZING <br />EXECUTION OF PURCHASE DOCUMENTS THEREFOR <br />WHEREAS, written bids without public advertisement were solicited for <br />the purchase of one (1) sandbag- making machine; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to said solicitation, two bids were received; and <br />WHEREAS, Hogan Manufacturing, Inc. of Escalon, California is the lowest <br />responsible bidder and it is the intention and desire of this Council to accept the <br />bid of Municipal Maintenance Equipment. <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br />CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br />1. The bid of Hogan Manufacturing, Inc. for the sale of one (1) "Speed <br />Sandbagg'r" to the City of Redwood City in the amount of Sixteen Thousand <br />Three Hundred Twenty and 23/100 Dollars ($16,320.23) in accordance with said <br />bidder's proposal dated August 14, 2000 is hereby accepted, and said bidder is <br />hereby declared to be the lowest responsible bidder in response to solicitation for <br />bids without advertisement for said equipment. <br />2.
