9/11/00 <br />0 R I G I N A L <br />RESOLUTION NO. 14038 <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF <br />AGREEMENT FOR KAINOS RESIDENTIAL FACILITIES REHABILITATION <br />PROJECT <br />( KAINOS HOME AND TRAINING CENTER) <br />WHEREAS, Kainos Home and Training Center conducts a residential and training program <br />for developmentally disabled adults of the City of Redwood City (the Program); and <br />WHEREAS, Contractor has requested financial assistance in order to rehabilitate the La <br />Vista facility during the fiscal year commencing July 1, 2000, and ending June 30, 2001; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City has reviewed said request and desires to allocate <br />to Contractor, the sum of One Hundred Fifty Thousand and No /100 Dollars ($150,000.00) from <br />its HOME Partnership Investment Program funds for the foregoing purposes; and <br />WHEREAS, an agreement providing for such funding has been presented to, and <br />reviewed by, this Council; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the intention and desire of this Council to approve said agreement and <br />authorize its execution; <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br />That certain agreement entitled, "Agreement for Kainos Residential Facilities Rehabilitation <br />Project," (form dated 8/15/00), by and between the City of Redwood City and the Kainos Home <br />and Training Center, a copy of which agreement is on file in the office of the City Clerk, to <br />8/15/00 1 <br />
