8/28/00 <br />ORIGINAL <br />RESOLUTION NO. 14012 <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID FOR THE 2000 -2001 COST <br />SHARED SIDEWALK REPAIR PROJECT; AUTHORIZING <br />EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT FOR SAID WORK; AND <br />DIRECTING RETURN OF SECURITY DEPOSITS <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 13894, adopted May 8, 2000, the <br />City Clerk advertised for bids for the 2000 -2001 Cost Shared Sidewalk Repair <br />Project in the City of Redwood City, California; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to said advertisement, four bids were received for <br />the performance of said work and filed with the City Clerk; and <br />WHEREAS, J.W. Riley & Sons, Inc. of Emeryville, California is the lowest <br />responsible bidder, and it is the intention and desire of this Council to award said <br />bid to J.W. Riley & Sons, Inc.; <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br />CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br />1. The bid of J.W. Riley & Sons, Inc. in the amount of One Hundred <br />Eighty -seven Thousand Seven Hundred Twenty -five and No /100 Dollars <br />($187,725.00), computed in accordance with bidder's proposal dated August 16, <br />2000 for the 2000 -2001 Cost Shared Sidewalk Repair Project, is hereby <br />accepted and said bidder is hereby found and declared to be the lowest <br />responsible bidder for said work. <br />2.
