<br /> <br /> <br />f" <br /> <br />, <br /> <br />PARK AND RECREATION COMMISSION <br />MINUTES OF WEDNESDAY, JUNE 23, 1999 <br /> <br />COMMISSIONERS PRESENT: Chairperson Morton, Commissioners Davis, <br />Joseph, La Berge, Slusser, Swope, and <br />Truscelli <br /> <br />COMMISSIONERS ABSENT: None <br />GUESTS PRESENT: Vince Truscelli <br /> <br />STAFF PRESENT: Superintendent Gary Hover, Superintendent Corinne <br />Centeno, Manager Chris Beth, Administrative Assistant <br />Denise Monroe <br /> <br />The regular meeting of the Park and Recreation Commission was called to order <br />by Chairperson Vic Morton at 7:30pm in the Conference Room of the Sandpiper <br />Community Center, 797 Redwood Shores Parkway, Redwood City, California. <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br /> <br />The minutes of the April meeting were approved as mailed. <br /> <br />CORRESPONDENCE <br /> <br />There was no correspondence. <br /> <br />ITEM 1 - REVIEW AND APPROVAL OF RU LES AND REGU LATIONS FOR <br />SCHEDU LING OF ATHLETIC FIELDS <br /> <br />Superintendent Corinne Centeno introduced Manager Chris Beth who replaced <br />Bill Wooten as the manager of sports and aquatics. Manager Beth spoke about <br />the need to have written rules and regulations for the scheduling of our athletic <br />fields and explained the process he followed in developing rules and regulations <br />for our department. He stated that the focus of the rules and regulations is to <br />give priority to Redwood City teams and groups to use our fields. He also <br />proposed increasing the fee schedule when teams want to rent our fields; as <br />always, Redwood City youth groups use our fields at no charge. The <br />Commissioners discussed the rules and regulations and made suggestions for <br />changes to the document. <br /> <br />MIS Truscelli/Davis: To accept the rules and regulations for scheduling <br />athletic fields document with corrections made this <br />evening. <br />Motion passed unanimously. <br /> <br />ITEM 2 - STULSAFT PARK UPDATE <br /> <br />The Commissioners were provided with a written update dated on Stulsaft Park <br />by Superintendent Hover. He stated the testing has been completed and it wilt <br />take a few weeks to analyze the results. An informational report will then be <br />prepared to determine what we will need to do to. He estimated that we are <br /> <br /> <br />-' .". <br />
