DES:djk 08/04/92 (094/32) <br /> O R I G I N A L 8/17/92 <br /> R E S O L U T I O N NO. 11811 <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF <br /> AGREEMENT FOR MATERIALS TESTING AND CONSTRUCTION <br /> INSPECTION SERVICES RELATING TO CITY CENTER PARKING <br /> STRUCTURE <br /> (SMITH-EMERY COMPANY) <br /> WHEREAS , the City of Redwood City is proceeding with the <br /> construction of a parking structure located on Marshall Street in <br /> the City of Redwood City, California (the "Project" ) ; and <br /> WHEREAS, in connection with the Project, the City requires <br /> expert materials testing and construction inspection services and <br /> related activities; and <br /> WHEREAS, Smith-Emery Company of San Francisco, California <br /> represents that it is qualified on the basis of experience and <br /> expertise to perform the aforesaid services required for the <br /> Project; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> AS FOLLOWS : <br /> That certain agreement entitled "Agreement - Materials <br /> Testing and Construction Inspection Services - City Center <br /> Parking Structure" (form dated 08/04/92) , by and between the City <br /> of Redwood City, a municipal corporation of the State of <br /> California and Smith-Emery Company, for the performance of the <br /> above-mentioned services , a copy of which agreement is on file in <br /> the office of the City Clerk, to which copy reference is hereby <br /> made for the full particulars thereof, is hereby approved and the <br /> City Manager and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to <br /> execute and to attest thereto, respectively, said agreement for <br /> and on behalf of the City of Redwood City. <br />
