DES:djv 07/22/92 (090/32) <br /> O R I G I N A L 8/3/92 <br /> R E S O L U T I O N NO. 11801 <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING PURCHASE OF <br /> CERTAIN RADIO EQUIPMENT FOR POLICE FACILITY <br /> WHEREAS , the Police Department requires certain radio <br /> systems , dispatch consoles and installation services <br /> (collectively, the "Equipment") more specifically described in <br /> Exhibit "A" hereof, attached hereto and by this reference <br /> incorporated herein; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Police Department has determined that the most <br /> economical method of purchasing the Equipment is pursuant to an <br /> agreement between the City of San Diego and Motorola <br /> Communication and Electronics , Inc . under the provisions of the <br /> Redwood City Code authorizing inter-agency cooperative purchases, <br /> upon a finding that the City of San Diego makes such purchases <br /> under competitive bidding requirements substantially equivalent <br /> to those of this City; and <br /> WHEREAS, Redwood City Code Section 2 . 80 establishes a <br /> procedure for purchasing materials , equipment or supplies through <br /> bidding procedures implemented by other public agencies; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> AS FOLLOWS : <br /> 1 . Pursuant to the provisions of Section 2 . 80 of the Code <br /> of the City of Redwood City this Council hereby finds: <br /> (a) the proposed purchase of the Equipment through the City <br /> of San Diego' s agreement with Motorola Communications <br /> and Electronics, Inc. under the provisions for <br /> cooperative purchases is made under competitive bidding <br />
