O R I G I N A L DES:d'k 05/27/92 (053/32) <br /> 8/92 <br /> R E S O L U T I O N NO. 11753 <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF <br /> PURCHASE DOCUMENTS FOR THE ACQUISITION OF SIX (6) <br /> HAZARDOUS MATERIAL STORAGE BUILDINGS <br /> WHEREAS, written bids without public advertisement were <br /> solicited for the purchase of six (6) storage buildings for the <br /> containment of materials that are classified as hazardous under <br /> federal rules; and <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to said solicitation three bids were <br /> received; and <br /> WHEREAS, Safety Storage, Inc. of San Jose, California, is <br /> the lowest responsible bidder; and <br /> WHEREAS, this Council desires to accept the bid of said <br /> Safety Storage, Inc. ; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> AS FOLLOWS : <br /> 1 . The bid of Safety Storage, Inc. for the sale of six (6) <br /> hazardous material storage buildings to the City of Redwood City <br /> in the amount of Nineteen Thousand Eight Hundred Fifty-eight and <br /> No/100 Dollars ($19 , 858 . 00) in accordance with said bidder' s <br /> proposal dated May 14 , 1992 , is hereby accepted, and said bidder <br /> is hereby declared to be the lowest responsible bidder in <br /> response to solicitation for bids without advertisement for said <br /> storage facilities. <br /> 2 . Any and all informalities in the aforementioned bid of <br /> Safety Storage, Inc. is , and each of them are, hereby waived. <br /> 3 . The City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to <br /> execute such purchase orders or other purchase documents (in form <br /> approved by the City Attorney) to effectuate the purchase <br /> approved hereby. <br />
