FXS b 3/31/92 (024/31) <br /> O R I G I N A L 4/13/92 <br /> R E S O L U T I O N NO. 11727 <br /> RESOLUTION CONDEMNING BUILDINGS AT 3726 LAUREL WAY AS A <br /> PUBLIC NUISANCE AND DIRECTING RECONSTRUCTION OR REMOVAL <br /> THEREOF <br /> WHEREAS, the Building Department of this City has determined <br /> that the single family dwelling which is located at 3726 Laurel Way <br /> is a public nuisance as defined by Section 9 . 5 of the Redwood City <br /> Code because the building has become manifestly unsafe for the <br /> purposes for which it has been used; the building exists and is <br /> maintained in violation of specific requirements and prohibitions <br /> applicable to such buildings by regulations of the City; the <br /> building has, because of inadequate maintenance , dilapidation , <br /> decay, damage, faulty construction, inadequate light, air, or <br /> sanitation facilities or otherwise , been determined to be unfit for <br /> human habitation and/or are unsanitary; and <br /> WHEREAS , the Building Department has given notice to the owner <br /> of the buildings at 3726 Laurel Way, as evidenced by Exhibit "A" , to <br /> appear before this Council to show cause, if any, why said building <br /> should not be declared to be a public nuisance and abated in <br /> accordance with the provisions of Chapter 9 of the Redwood City <br /> Code; and <br /> WHEREAS , this Council has received extensive evidence that the <br /> building at 3726 Laurel Way has become dilapidated and has numerous <br /> housing code violations; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> REDWOOD CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> 1 . The building located at 3726 Laurel Way is determined to <br /> be a public nuisance because such building would endanger the life, <br />
