8/14/00 <br />O R I G I N A L <br />RESOLUTION NO. 13976 <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION <br />OF PURCHASE DOCUMENTS FOR THE PURCHASE OF <br />KITCHEN EQUIPMENT FOR THE VETERANS MEMORIAL <br />SENIOR CENTER IN THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br />WHEREAS, written bids without public advertisement were solicited for <br />restaurant quality kitchen equipment consisting of gas ranges, a double stacked <br />oven, a refrigerator, a freezer and a coffee urn ( "kitchen equipment ") for the <br />Veterans Memorial Senior Center in the City of Redwood City; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to said solicitation, three bids were received; and <br />WHEREAS, County Supply Co. of San Carlos, California is the lowest <br />responsible bidder and it is the intention and desire of this Council to accept the <br />bid of County Supply Co.; <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br />CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br />1. The bid of County Supply Co. for the purchase of kitchen equipment <br />for the Veterans Memorial Senior Center to the City of Redwood City in the <br />amount of Fourteen Thousand and No /100 Dollars ($14,000.00) and in <br />accordance with said bidder's proposal dated April 11, 2000, is hereby accepted, <br />and said bidder is hereby declared to be the lowest responsible bidder in <br />Reso -947 1 <br />DES:djk <br />F: /Shared /Redwood /Council <br />07/13/00 <br />
