8/14/00 <br />O R I G I N A L <br />RESOLUTION NO. 13974 <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID FOR THE PURCHASE OF AN <br />HP -UNIX SERVER; AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF PURCHASE <br />DOCUMENTS THEREFOR; AND REJECTING ANY AND ALL <br />OTHER BIDS RECEIVED IN CONNECTION THEREWITH <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Section 2.65 of the Redwood <br />City Code, the City Manager caused public notice inviting bids to be published <br />for the purchase of an HP -Unix Server for the City of Redwood City; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to said publications four bids were received; and <br />WHEREAS, Logical of Irvine, California is the lowest responsible bidder <br />and it is the intention and desire of this Council to accept the bid of Logical; <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br />CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br />1. The bid of Logical in the total amount of Twenty -nine Thousand One <br />Hundred Fifty -two and 65/100 Dollars ($29,152.65), computed in accordance <br />with said bidder's proposal dated July 26, 2000 for the sale of a HP -Unix Server, <br />which bid is on file in the office of the City Clerk, to which reference is hereby <br />made for the full particulars thereof, is hereby approved, and said bidder is <br />hereby found and declared to be the lowest responsible bidder for the sale of <br />said vehicles to the City. <br />2.
