<br />DES:dft '0/29/90 (029/29) <br /> <br />r" /"" ;,; n 1 <br />U U ~ ~ 'ii"\L. <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />NO. 11 /1 ~15 <br /> <br />1\1 n \; ,.... t" 1090 <br />.Jl.i \i l;.J ;;J <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING SPECIFICATIONS AND AUTHORIZING <br />ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS FOR SELECTION AND DESIGNATION OF <br />OFFICIAL NEWSPAPER <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />certain newspapers have been adjudicated as <br /> <br />newspapers of general circulation in the City of Redwood City; <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 90 of the Charter of the City <br /> <br />of Redwood City, this Council shall advertise annually for the <br /> <br />submission of sealed proposals or bids from all newspapers of <br /> <br />general circulation in the City for publication of all ordinances <br /> <br />and other legal notices and matters required to be published; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the newspaper which submits the lowest responsible <br /> <br />bid and is selected for the aforesaid purposes, shall be <br /> <br />designated the City's "Official Newspaper"; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Clerk has submitted specifications for the <br /> <br />selection of the Official Newspaper; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Those certain specifications for the Official Newspaper of <br /> <br />the City of Redwood City set forth in that certain document <br /> <br />entitled "Proposal for Official Newspaper of the City of Redwood <br /> <br />Ci ty", a copy of which is on file in the office of the City <br /> <br />Clerk, to which copy reference is hereby made for the full <br /> <br />particulars thereof, are hereby approved, and the City Clerk is <br /> <br />hereby authorized and directed to advertise for sealed proposals <br /> <br />or bids from all newspapers of general circulation in the City <br /> <br />for selection as the City's Official Newspaper. <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br />
