<br />DES:djk 10/04/90 (025/28) <br />OCT 1 5 199U <br /> <br />1140 8 ORlr:l"d,~1 <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N N O. .\.\.ndnL. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING PURCHASE OF ELECTRONIC MECHANICAL <br />MECHANISMS FOR PARKING METERS AND AUTHORIZING AND <br />DIRECTING EXECUTION OF PURCHASE DOCUMENTS IN CONNECTION <br />THEREWITH <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a proposal has been submitted to this Council for <br /> <br />the purchase of 129 electronic mechanical mechanisms for parking <br /> <br />meters to supplement equipment available from a single source; <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 2.76 of the Redwood City Code, <br /> <br />this Council has suspended the requirements of Article VII of <br /> <br />Chapter 2 of the Code of the City of Redwood City relating to <br /> <br />competitive bidding for said purchase; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this Council desires to approve purchase of said <br /> <br />129 electronic mechanical mechanisms to improve standardize <br /> <br />existing parking meter equipment; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. The proposal of Duncan Industries dated September 5, <br /> <br />1990, to supply 129 electronic mechanical mechanisms for existing <br /> <br />parking meter equipment for the total purchase price of <br /> <br />Twenty-two Thousand Five Hundred Sixty-eight and 55/100 Dollars <br /> <br />($22,568.00), is hereby accepted. <br /> <br />2. The City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to <br /> <br />execute a purchase order or other appropriate purchase documents <br /> <br />(in form approved by the City Attorney) necessary or appropriate <br /> <br />to carry out the purchase hereby approved. <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br />
