DES:yc:ll/18/77 0 R DIN AN C E !:!Q.ll.3Jl ORIGfNAL NOY Z 8 1977 --------- ORDINANCE TRANSFERRING AND CONFERRING CONTROL AND JURISDICTION OVER A PORTION OF LANDS WITHIN PORT k~EA OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY (MUNICIPAL MARINA) WHEREAS, this Council and the Board of Port Commissioners of the City of Redwood City have conducted studies relative to the transfer of control and jurisdiction of the area of City-owned real property within the Port Area of said City (as said Area is defined in the Charter of the City of Redwood City) generally known as the Redwood City Municipal Marina from this Council to said Board, which studies recommend such transfer; and ~VHEREAS, Section 47f(4) of the Charter of the City of Redwood City provides that such control and jurisdiction may be transferred to, and conferred upon, said Board by ordinance of this Council upon request of said Board; and WHEREAS, this Council is in receipt of Resolution No. P- 8?4 adopted November 21, 1977, by the Board of Port Commissioners of the City of Redwood City, requesting that control and jurisdiction over the hereinafter described real property (comprising the aforementioned area) be transferred to, and conferred upon, said Board; and MiEREAS, it is desirable and in the public interest that control and jurisdiction over the hereinafter described portion of City-owned real property be transferred from this Council to said Board of Port Commissioners; NOW, THEREFORE; THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. Pursuant to the provisions of Section 47f(4) of the Charter of the City of Redwood City, this Council does hereby transfer to, and confer upon, the Board of Port Commissioners of the City of Redwood City control and jurisdiction over the here- inafter described real property. 1 730
