7/24/00 <br />O R I G I N A L <br />RESOLUTION NO. 13955 <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BIDS FOR THE PURCHASE OF <br />ASPHALT - CONCRETE MATERIALS FOR FISCAL YEAR 2000- <br />2001; AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF PURCHASE <br />DOCUMENTS THEREFOR <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Section 2.65 of the Redwood <br />City Code, the City Manager caused public notice inviting bids to be published <br />for the purchase of Asphalt- Concrete Materials for Fiscal Year 2000 -2001; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to said publication, one bid was received; and <br />WHEREAS, Granite Rock Company of Redwood City, California, was the <br />lowest responsible bidder, and it is the intention and desire of this Council to <br />accept the bid of Granite Rock Company; <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br />CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br />1. The bid of Granite Rock Company in the amount of Seventy -five <br />Thousand Eight Hundred Thirty -five and No /100 Dollars ($75,835.00), computed <br />in accordance with said bidder's proposal dated June 21, 2000 for the purchase <br />of asphalt- concrete materials, which bid is on file in the office of the Director of <br />Public Works Services, to which reference is hereby made for the full particulars <br />thereof, is hereby approved, and said bidder is hereby found and declared to be <br />the lowest responsible bidder for the sale of said asphalt- concrete materials. <br />Reso -944 1 <br />DES:djk <br />F:Shared /Redwood /Council <br />07/11/00 <br />
