DES:dp:12/l6/76 0 R DIN A N C E N o. 1 690 ORIGINAL JAN 1 0 1.917 --------- ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 2.12 AND REPEALING SECTION 2.12.1 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY PERTAIN- ING TO THE CONSOLIDATION OF THE OFFICES OF CITY TREASURER, COLLECTOR, ASSESSOR, AND AUDITOR THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. Section 2.12 of the Code of the City of Redwood City is hereby amended to read as follows: Pursuant to the provisions of Section 22 "Section 2.12. of the Charter, the offices of the City Treasurer, City Collector, City Assessor, and City Auditor are hereby consoli- dated. The person holding the position designated Director of Finance shall exercise and perform all powers, functions, and duties of the offices of Treasurer, Collector, Assessor, and Auditor as are prescribed by Sections 34, 36, 35, and 33, respectively, of the Charter, or as are otherwise prescribed by the Charter or any ordinance or resolution, in the same manner as if such offices were not consolidated. Wherever in this Code, or any ordinance, resolution, or other order or directive reference is made to any of the offices consoli- dated herein, such reference shall be deemed to mean the person holding the position of Director of Finance, to the extent such reference pertains to the powers, functions, and duties exercised or performed by the office so referenced." SECTION 2. Section 2.12.1 of the Code of the City of Redwood City is hereby repealed. SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be effective 30 days from the date of its adoption. * * * 1690
