<br />MSR:yc:9/12/75 <br /> <br />0 R DIN AN C E <br /> <br />N O. <br /> <br />1652 <br /> <br />ORIGINAL <br /> <br />OCT 6 1975 <br /> <br />--------- <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE ADDING SECTION 2.26 TO THE CODE OF THE <br />CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, RELATING TO ESTABLISHMENT OF <br />A BIWEEKLY PAY PERIOD <br /> <br />THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. <br /> <br />Section 2.26 is hereby added to the Code of the <br /> <br />City of Redwood City, to read as follows: <br /> <br />"Section 2.26 <br /> <br />Pursuant to Section 59 of the Charter <br /> <br />of the City of Redwood City, a biweekly period is hereby <br /> <br />prescribed for the allowance and payment of warrants for <br /> <br />salaries of officers and employees. <br /> <br />Such biweekly pay period <br /> <br />shall be that interval of time during which officers and <br /> <br />employees perform services on behalf of the City for which <br /> <br />they are later compensated. <br /> <br />Warrants for such compensation <br /> <br />shall be paid regularly on the Friday immediately succeeding <br /> <br />each such biweekly pay period; provided, however, that, if <br /> <br />the Friday shall fall upon a holiday on which municipal <br /> <br />business is suspended, payment shall be made on the preceding <br /> <br />Thursday." <br /> <br />SECTION 2. <br /> <br />This ordinance shall be effective 30 days after <br /> <br />its adoption; provided, however, it shall be operative from and <br /> <br />after January 1, 1976. <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />-, / /1 (; <br />" (, () "~.". ," <br />/I ~j1~~ " ;L- .'- <br />/' ~r .
