<br />," <br /> <br />DES:dp:10/29/75 <br /> <br />0 R DIN A N C E <br />--------- <br /> <br />No.1655 <br /> <br />ORIGINAL <br />NOV 1 0 1975 <br /> <br />ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 33.32 OF THE CODE OF THE <br />CITY OF REDWOOD CITY RELATING TO RATES OF CHARGE <br />FOR TAXICAB SERVICE IN THE CITY, AND REPEALING <br />ORDINANCE NO. 1596 <br /> <br />THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. <br /> <br />Section 33.32 of the Code of the City of <br /> <br />Redwood City is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />"Section 33.32 <br /> <br />It shall be unlawful for the owner <br /> <br />or driver of any taxicab in the City to fix, charge or <br /> <br />collect for service a rate more or less than the following: <br /> <br />(1) <br /> <br />For the first one-ninth (1/9) mile, ninety cents <br /> <br />($0.90) . <br /> <br />(2) <br /> <br />For each additional one-ninth (1/9) mile, ten <br /> <br />cents ($0.10). <br /> <br />(3) <br /> <br />When carrying passengers whose point of destina- <br /> <br />tion is different, the meter shall be turned <br /> <br />back to the "for hire" position each time a <br /> <br />passenger is discharged and a fare collected. <br /> <br />(4) <br /> <br />For each piece of luggage in excess of two (2) <br /> <br />average size traveling bags, or their equivalent <br /> <br />in size, ten cents ($0.10). <br /> <br />(5) <br /> <br />For waiting time, eight dollars ($8.00) per hour~ <br /> <br />provided however, that charges for waiting time <br /> <br />of less than one hour shall be reduced proportionately. <br /> <br />(6 ) <br /> <br />Scrip may be issued at a discount of ten per cent <br /> <br />(10%) upon sale of each five dollars ($5.00) of <br /> <br />scrip tickets as a unit." <br /> <br />1655 <br /> <br />,~ <br /> <br />,. < ;. <. <br /> <br />) <br /> <br />,;' ,d', <br />
