<br />DES:djk 119/26/90 <br /> <br />(017/28) <br /> <br />O~ f)' (:~ : T\ r /\ ; <br />-HiU, i ~r\l- <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N o. 1 1 39 7 <br /> <br />OCT 1 1990 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ADOPTING CRITERIA FOR GRANT FUNDS FOR <br />RECYCLING PROGRAM AND DESIGNATING THE CITY MANAGER'S <br />APPOINTEE AS AGENT FOR THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br /> <br />WHEREAS, in May, 1987, the San Mateo County Board of <br /> <br />Supervisors adopted the concept of providing financial support <br /> <br />equivalent to $.50 per capita (approximately $310,000 County- <br /> <br />wide) to help cities develop and implement recycling programs <br /> <br />within their jurisdictions; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on September 1, 1987, the Board of Supervisors by <br /> <br />resolution adopted criteria and application procedure for such <br /> <br />grants; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City's Pride and Beautification Committee <br /> <br />formed a Task Force to work on increasing our current recycling <br /> <br />efforts by providing the citizens of Redwood City with a <br /> <br />Community Information Booklet that will provide information to <br /> <br />the public on recycling, city codes, and other community service <br /> <br />information; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to develop and <br /> <br />implement a recycling program within the City of Redwood City's <br /> <br />jurisdiction for the 1990/91 fiscal year; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. The Criteria and Application Procedure for the San <br /> <br />Mateo County Recycling Grants as set forth in Exhibit "A", <br />
