<br />CGM:dp: B/20/75 <br /> <br />ORD1.NANCE <br /> <br />No.1 64 8 <br /> <br />ORIGINAL <br /> <br />S£P 8 <br /> <br />197; <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE FIXING THE AMOUNT OF MONEY TO BE RAISED <br />BY TAXATION UPON THE TAXABLE PROPERTY WITHIN THE CITY <br />OF REDWOOD CITY AS REVENUE TO CARRY ON THE VARIOUS <br />DEPARTMENTS OF SAID CITY FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 1975-1976, <br />TO PAY THE BONDED INDEBTEDNESS OF SAID CITY FALLING <br />DUE AND BECOMING PAYABLE DURING SAID FISCAL YEAR TO- <br />GETHER WITH THE INTEREST THEREON, TO MAINTAIN THE PUBLIC <br />LIBRARY OF SAID CITY DURING SAID FISCAL YEAR, TO PROVIDE <br />FUNDS FOR THE RETIREMENT PLAN, TO PROVIDE FUNDS FOR <br />PARKING DISTRICT NO.1, AND FIXING AND LEVYING THE TAX <br />RATE THEREFOR <br /> <br />THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. <br /> <br />GENERAL TAX REVENUE REQUIRED. <br /> <br />The total amount <br /> <br />of money to be raised by taxation upon the taxable property within <br />the city of Redwood City to provide revenue to meet the general <br /> <br />municipal expenses and to carryon the various departments of said <br /> <br />City for the fiscal year July 1, 1975 - June 30, 1976: to pay the <br /> <br />interest and principal upon all of the outstanding bonded indebted- <br /> <br />ness of said city, due and becoming payable during said fiscal year: <br /> <br />to maintain the public library of said city during said fiscal year: <br /> <br />and to provide funds for the city's contribution to the retirement <br /> <br />plan voted at the municipal election on April 9, 1940: is hereby <br />fixed at the total sum of Three Million, Seven Hundred Sixty-Four <br /> <br />Thousand Four Hundred Fifty-One and No/lOO Dollars ($3,764,451.00). <br /> <br />SECTION 2. <br /> <br />REVENUE DETAIL AND DISTRICTS. <br /> <br />The following <br /> <br />general and special tax rates for the areas hereinafter set forth <br /> <br />are hereby levied and fixed, for the fiscal year July 1, 1975 - <br /> <br />June 30, 1976, to raise the total revenues set forth in Section 1 <br /> <br />hereof, and in addition thereto the amounts hereinafter set forth <br /> <br />for parking District No.1, in the amounts set forth herein as <br />follows, to wit: <br /> <br />(a) <br /> <br />Two Million Six Hundred Twenty-Five Thousand Three Hundred <br /> <br />Thirteen and No/IOO Dollars ($2,625,313.00) to meet the general <br /> <br />municipal expenses during said fiscal year and for deposit in the <br /> <br />1648 <br />
