<br />DES:djk 0- 0/90 (066/26) <br /> <br />n..)(:"~::,.~ l\ J <br />t) j l ~ :~J ~ k\~{\!.. <br /> <br />JUL 2 :3 1990 <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N 0, 1\ 35,7 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF <br />EIGHT (8) POLICE VEHICLES UNDER THE COOPERATIVE <br />PURCHASE PROVISIONS OF LOS ANGELES COUNTY BID #R349 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Redwood City Code Section 2.80 the City <br /> <br />of Redwood City may request any local agency as defined by <br /> <br />Section 54201 of the California Government Code to purchase <br /> <br />materials, equipment, or supplies on behalf of the City; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />Los Angeles <br /> <br />County, <br /> <br />bid <br /> <br />#R349 <br /> <br />includes <br /> <br />a <br /> <br />Cooperative Purchase provision which offers other public agencies <br /> <br />the opportunity to purchase police vehicles from Sobb Chevrolet; <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the aforesaid bid of Los Angeles County conforms to <br /> <br />the requirements of Redwood City Code Section 2.80; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is the intention and desire of this Council to <br /> <br />purchase eight (8) police vehicles from Sobb Chevrolet pursuant <br /> <br />to the Cooperative Purchase Provision of Los Angeles County Bid <br /> <br />#R349; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. The City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to <br /> <br />execute all necessary and appropriate documents for and on behalf <br /> <br />of the City of Redwood City for the purchase of eight (8) police <br /> <br />vehicles from Sobb Chevrolet pursuant to the Cooperative Purchase <br /> <br />provisions of Los Angeles County Bid #R349, a copy of which is on <br /> <br />file in the office of the City Clerk, to which copy reference is <br /> <br />hereby made for the full particulars thereof, is hereby approved. <br />
