<br />DES:djk ( '10/90 (068/26) <br /> <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N O. <br /> <br />-1J 3S~ <br /> <br />JUL 2 3 199U <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF <br />PURCHASE DOCUMENTS FOR THREE (3) USED VEHICLES <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Redwood City Code <br /> <br />Section 2.76 this Council has, by motion, suspended the <br /> <br />requirements of Article VII ("Purchasing") of said Code in <br /> <br />connection with the acquisition of three (3) used passenger <br /> <br />vehicles required for municipal purposes; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, solicitation of informal bids has resulted in an <br /> <br />offer from Hertz Car Sales Company, which offer represents the <br /> <br />lowest offer for vehicles meeting the City's requirements; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. The offer to sell two (2) 1989 Ford vehicles and one <br /> <br />(1) 1989 Volvo vehicle for the amounts of Eleven Thousand Three <br /> <br />Hundred Sixty-seven and 43/100 Dollars ($11,367.43), Thirteen <br /> <br />Thousand Eighty-three and No/100 Dollars ($13,083.00) and Fifteen <br />Thousand Five Hundred Fifty and 18/100 Dollars ($15,550.18), <br /> <br />respectively, is hereby accepted. <br /> <br />2. The City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to <br /> <br />enter into such sales agreements, purchase orders, or other <br /> <br />documents appropriate or necessary (in form approved by the City <br /> <br />Attorney) to complete the acquisition of said vehicles. <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br />
