", l' L <br />niullh\ <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N 0.11 ij 00 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING THE COST-SHARING ALLOCATIONS FOR <br />REPAIR OF THE FLOOD CONTROL DEVICE (BAYFRONT CANAL) <br />LOCATED IN REDWOOD CITY, AND AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING <br />THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A REIMBURSEMENT AGREEMENT <br />WITH THE COUNTY OF SAN MATEO <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the drainage area to the Bayfront Canal is located <br /> <br />wi thin the the CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, the TOWN OF WOODSIDE, the <br /> <br />CITY OF MENLO PARK, and certain unincorporated areas within the <br /> <br />COUNTY OF SAN MATEO; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, discharge of water from the Bayfront Canal is <br /> <br />regulated through a flood control device which is located in the <br /> <br />CITY OF REDWOOD CITY;and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the proper operation of said flood control device <br /> <br />is essential to properly and safely regulate the flow of water <br /> <br />from the Bayfront Canal; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the existing flood control device is in a state of <br /> <br />disrepair and needs to be replaced; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, since the flood control device benefits the CITY OF <br /> <br />REDWOOD CITY, the TOWN OF WOODSIDE, the CITY OF MENLO PARK, and <br /> <br />the COUNTY OF SAN MATEO, all of the government entities should <br /> <br />participate in the cost of repair and replacement of the flood <br /> <br />control device; <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. That agreement entitled "Cost Sharing for the Repair of <br /> <br />the Flood Control Device (Bayfront Canal)" (form dated 01/17/90) <br /> <br />between the CITY OF REDWOOD CITY and the COUNTY OF SAN MATEO, <br />
