CGM:dp:5/17/79 <br />RESOLUTION NO. 8282 MAY 311979 <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING LEASE OF PROPERTY IN COMMUNITY <br />PARK AND AUTHORIZING ADVERTISEMENT OF BIDS THEREFOR ORIGINAL <br />WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City is the owner of a certain <br />tract of land in the City of Redwood City known as Community <br />Park; and <br />WHEREAS, in order to promote the construction of additional <br />facilities therein and otherwise provide for the fullest utilization <br />of Community Park for the public benefit the City wishes to lease <br />a portion of Community Park for use by a non-profit organization <br />devoted to civic, educational, athletic or charitable purposes; <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br />1. That certain lease agreement, entitled "Lease Agreement - <br />Portion of Community Park," is hereby approved. <br />2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to <br />advertise the lease of the premises described in the lease agree- <br />ment in accordance with Section 3-1/2 of the Charter of the City <br />of Redwood City. Said advertisement shall specify that the leased <br />premises are to be used solely and exclusively for non-profit civic, <br />educational, athletic or charitable purposes and shall require each <br />corporate bidder to submit a copy of its articles of incorporation <br />to City with or prior to its bid. <br />8282 <br />
