CGM:dp:5/8/79 <br />R E S 0 L U T ION No.8285 MAY 211979 <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AND APPROVING AGREEMENT BETWEEN ORIG!1NAL <br />THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AND THE STATE PERSONNEL BOARD �71Y1t <br />FOR SERVICES RELATING TO EXAMINATIONS FOR THE CLASSIFIED <br />SERVICES <br />WHEREAS, it has been recommended to this Council that the <br />State Personnel Board be retained to perform services incident <br />to the planning, scheduling, preparation, construction, and rating <br />of written examinations for the classified services, and to perform <br />other special services in connection with examinations; and <br />WHEREAS, there has been presented to this Council an agreement <br />between the City and the State Personnel Board for the performance <br />of such services, which agreement is similar in nature to the one <br />in operation for the past three years; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the intention and desire of this Council to <br />approve said agreement and authorize its execution; <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br />1. That certain agreement, including Exhibits A and B thereof <br />and the Fair Employment Practices Addendum thereto, between the City <br />of Redwood City and the State Personnel Board, a copy of which is <br />attached hereto marked "Exhibit I" and by this reference incorporated <br />herein, is hereby approved, and James M. Fales, Jr., the City Manager <br />is hereby authorized and directed to execute the same for and on <br />behalf of the City of Redwood City. <br />2. That the City Clerk is hereby directed to file a certified <br />copy of this resolution with the State of California, California <br />State Personnel Board, Cooperative Personnel Services Division. <br />
