DES:yc:5/2/79 <br />011MINAL <br />R E S O L U T I O N N O. �7 MAY i 1519 <br />RESOLUTION REJECTING BIDS RECEIVED FOR CONSTRUCTION <br />OF TRAFFIC SIGNAL SYSTEM (VALOTA ROAD AT ROOSEVELT <br />AVENUE), AUTHORIZING RETURN OF BID SECURITY DEPOSITED <br />THEREWITH, APPROVING REVISED PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS, <br />AND AUTHORIZING CITY CLERK TO CALL FOR BIDS FOR THE <br />REVISED CONSTRUCTION <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 8250, adopted March 12, <br />1979, by this Council, four bids were received for the construction <br />of a traffic signal system (Valota Road at Roosevelt Avenue) in the <br />City of Redwood City; and <br />WHEREAS, this Council has reviewed said bids and has deter- <br />mined to reject the same; and <br />WHEREAS, there have been presented to this Council certain <br />revised plans and specifications for the construction of said <br />traffic signal system at Valota Road and Roosevelt Avenue which <br />this Council desires to approve, and, further to authorize call <br />for bids for the work described in said revised plans and specifications; <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br />1. All those certain bids received April 10, 1979, in response <br />to advertisement for bids published pursuant to Resolution No. 8250, <br />adopted March 12, 1979, are, and each is, hereby rejected. <br />2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to <br />return to all of the above mentioned bidders the bid security <br />furnished with said bids. <br />3. Those certain specifications entitled "Revised Valota Road <br />and Roosevelt Avenue Traffic Signal System Project," and those <br />certain plans entitled "Revised Traffic Signal System - Valota Road <br />at Roosevelt Avenue," prepared by the Traffic Engineer and on file <br />in the office of the Director of Public Works, are hereby approved. <br />�i- <br />
