06/25/2018 RESOLUTION NO. 15685 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY APPROVING AMENDMENTS TO THE ANNUAL ACTION PLAN (2018-2019) WHEREAS, the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program authorized pursuant to Title I of the Housing and Community Development Act of 974 (P.L. 93-383), as amended ("the Act'), requires that jurisdictions receiving federal funds develop a Consolidated Plan, Annual Action Plan and Citizen Participation Plan and provide for the issuance of grants in order to attain the objective of the development of viable urban communities by providing decent housing and a suitable living environment, and expanding economic opportunities, principally for persons of low or moderate income; and WHEREAS, the Annual Action Plan (2018-2019) was adopted by the City Council on April 23, 2018 by Resolution No. 15656; and WHEREAS, pursuant to the requirements of Section 104(a) of the Act, the City has followed its Community Participation Plan as part of the process for amending Annual Action Plan (2018-2019); and WHEREAS, a 30 -day Request for Public Comments on the draft amendments to Annual Action Plan (2018-2019) has been published for public comment prior to the Housing and Human Concerns Committee (HHCC) approving the amendments and recommending they be forwarded to Council for approval; and WHEREAS, on June 12, 2018, the Housing and Human Concerns Committee (HHCC) held a public hearing to accept public comments on the draft amendments to the Annual Action Plan (2018-2019); and WHEREAS, this Council desires to approve the amendment to the Annual Action Plan (2018-2019) and authorize the execution of all documents pertaining thereto, including all understandings and assurances connected therewith. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, AS FOLLOWS: 1. The amendments to the Annual Action Plan (2018-2019), prepared for submission to the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development for a Community Development Block Grant pursuant to Title I of the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974, and the HOME Investment Partnership Grant pursuant to the National Affordable Housing Act of 1992, copies of which as well as the Consolidated Plan are on file in the office of the Community Development Department of the City of Redwood City, are hereby approved.
