RD 06-01 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION OF THE REDWOOD CITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY <br />SEEKING AUTHORIZATION FROM CALIFORNIA DEPARTMENT OF <br />TRANSPORTATION TO PLACE MAIN STREET HISTORIC DISTRICT <br />SIGNS ON STATE HIGHWAYS 101, 84 (WOODSIDE ROAD) AND 82 (El <br />CAMINO REAL) <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Board of the Redwood City Redevelopment Agency approved <br /> <br />the implementation of the Wayfinding Sign Program for Redwood City; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, one of the purposes of the Wayfinding Sign Program is to install <br /> <br />roadway signage directing first time visitors to Redwood City's historic district; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Redwood City Redevelopment Agency to install <br /> <br />directional signs and in particular "Main Street Historic District" signs on State Highways <br /> <br />101,84 (Woodside Road) and 82 (EI Camino Real); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, prior to installing said directional signs on State Highways <br /> <br />permission from the California Department of Transportation (CAL TRANS) is required; <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, as a condition precedent to authorizing installation of "Main Street <br /> <br />Historic District" signs on State highways, CAL TRANS requires that the historic district's <br /> <br />official name be placed on the National Register of Historic Places; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Redwood City has been notified by the United States Department of <br /> <br />Interior that Redwood City "Main Street Historic District" has been placed on the <br /> <br />National Register of Historic Places. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF <br /> <br />THE REDWOOD CITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY AS FOllOWS: <br /> <br />Atty/Reso./Reso.1597 <br />022206 <br /> <br />1 <br /> <br />RD 06-01 <br />Muff# 610 <br />
