ORIGINAL 7/24/00 <br />RESOLUTION NO. 13g4q <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING PURCHASE OF WATER METERS <br />AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF PURCHASE DOCUMENTS <br />IN CONNECTION THEREWITH <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 2.76 of the Redwood City Code, this <br />Council has suspended the requirements of Article VII of Chapter 2 of the Code <br />of the City of Redwood City relating to competitive bidding for the hereinafter <br />described purchase; and <br />WHEREAS, the Department of Public Works Services requires various <br />sized water meters to facilitate the replacement of existing older type water <br />meters and for the installation of additional water meters in new developments in <br />Redwood Shores and throughout the City of Redwood City; and <br />WHEREAS, this Council desires to approve the purchase of said water <br />meters in an amount not to exceed One Hundred Thirty Thousand and No /100 <br />Dollars ($130,000.00); <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br />CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br />1. This Council hereby approves the purchase of various water meters for <br />the replacement of existing older type water meters and for the installation of <br />additional water meters in new developments in Redwood Shores and <br />throughout the City of Redwood City from Sensus Technologies, Inc. of <br />Reso -931 1 <br />DES:djk <br />Uhared/Redwood /Council <br />07/06/00 <br />
