02/11/2019 ORDINANCE NO. 2457 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY REGARDING PUBLICATION OF A NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON THE BUDGET WHEREAS, Section 51.5 of the City Charter of the City of Redwood City provides that at the meeting of the City Council at which the budget is submitted, the City Council shall set a time and place for a public hearing on the budget; and WHEREAS, Section 51.5 of the City Charter of the City of Redwood City further provides the City Council shall cause a notice of the public hearing on the budget to be published at least once in accordance with procedures established by ordinance of the City Council; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Redwood City now desires to establish procedures for the publication of the notice of public hearing on the budget. NOW THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. The recitals set forth above are true and correct and are hereby incorporated herein by this reference as if fully set forth in their entirety. SECTION 2. At least ten (10) days prior to the public hearing on the budget, the Deputy Treasurer shall publish a notice of the public hearing on the budget on the City of Redwood City's Public Notices webpage. SECTION 3. At least ten (10) days prior to the public hearing on the budget, the Deputy Treasurer shall post a notice of public hearing on the budget at City Hall and at all branches of the Redwood City Library, consistent with the posting of regular and special agendas of meetings of the City Council. SECTION 4. The City Clerk shall publish this ordinance in accordance with applicable law. SECTION 5. This ordinance shall be effective thirty (30) days after its adoption.
