0 R I G I 14 A L 6/26/00 <br />RESOLUTION NO. _13932_ <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID FOR THE 1999 -2000 <br />WATERMAIN REPLACEMENT PROJECT; AUTHORIZING <br />EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT FOR SAID WORK; AND <br />DIRECTING RETURN OF SECURITY DEPOSITS <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 13899, adopted May 22, 2000, <br />the City Clerk advertised for bids for the 1999 -2000 Watermain Replacement <br />Project, Redwood City, California; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to said advertisement, five (5) bids were received <br />for the performance of said work and filed with the City Clerk; and <br />WHEREAS, Fermin Sierra Construction, Inc. of Union City, California is <br />the lowest responsible bidder, and it is the intention and desire of this Council to <br />award said bid to Fermin Sierra Construction, Inc.; <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br />CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br />1. The bid of Fermin Sierra Construction, Inc. in the amount of One <br />Million Five Hundred Seventy Thousand Five Hundred Seventy and No /100 <br />Dollars ($1,570,570.00), computed in accordance with bidder's proposal dated <br />June 14, 2000 for the 1999 -2000 Watermain Replacement Project, is hereby <br />accepted and said bidder is hereby found and declared to be the lowest <br />responsible bidder for said work. <br />Reso -917 1 <br />F /sh /sh /RC /Council <br />FXS:rg <br />06/15/00, 6/26/OOR <br />
