3/13/00 <br />CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br />RESOLUTION NO. 13850 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br />STATING THE NECESSITY TO INCUR BONDED INDEBTEDNESS <br />IN CITY OF REDWOOD CITY COMMUNITY FACILITIES DISTRICT NO. 2000-1 <br />(PACIFIC SHORES PROJECT) <br />WHEREAS, the Council declares and finds that in order to finance the acquisition and <br />construction of public facilities and services described in this Council's Resolution No. it <br />is necessary to incur a bonded indebtedness; and <br />WHEREAS, the purpose for which the proposed debt is to be incurred is to provide the <br />funds necessary to pay for the cost of said public facilities and services; and <br />WHEREAS, the maximum amount of the proposed debt is $20,855,000; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, as follows: <br />1. The above recitals are true and correct. <br />2. The Council hereby sets Monday, April 17, 2000, at 7:30 p.m., at the City of <br />Redwood City City Hall Council Chambers located at 1017 Middlefield Road, Redwood City, <br />California 94063 -0478, as the time and place for a hearing by the Council on the proposed bond <br />issue. At that time and place any persons interested, including any persons owning property in the <br />CFD, will be heard. It is the intention of this Council that any such bonds issued shall be made <br />callable in accordance with the terms of the Mello -Roos Community Facilities Act of 1982. <br />ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Redwood City at a regular meeting of said <br />Council held on the 13th day of March, 2000, by the following vote: <br />AYES: <br />Councilmembers <br />NOES: <br />Councilmembers <br />ABSENT: <br />Councilmembers <br />City Clerk <br />APPROVED AS TO FORM <br />City Attorney <br />Mayor <br />Redwood Reso of Necesity <br />
