-- _ 11/8/99 <br /> ORIGINAL <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 13785 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING SUBMITTAL <br /> OF APPLICATIONS FOR TRANSPORTATION DEVELOPMENT <br /> ACT FUNDS FOR THREE (3) BICYCLE/PEDESTRIAN <br /> FACILITIES PROJECTS <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City desires the construction of three (3) <br /> bicycle/pedestrian facilities projects in the Redwood Shores area of the City of <br /> Redwood City, to wit: 1) Bridge Parkway Multi-purpose Path Construction <br /> Project; 2) Shell Parkway Pedestrian Path Construction Project; and 3) Redwood <br /> Shotes parkway SideWalk P~oject (COll~ctivelyl th~ "Projects"); and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Redwood Shores Homeowners Association and the <br /> Redwood Shores Bicycle Committee recommend approval of the Projects; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Projects conform to, and implement, the Transportation <br /> Element of the General Plan and the Redwood City Bikeway Plan; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Government Code Section 66520, all applications <br />for federal or state grant funds for transportation projects must be approved by <br />the Metropolitan Transportation Commission; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this Council desires to apply for a Transportation <br /> <br />Development Act grant for the Projects; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br />CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Reso-772 <br />DES:djk <br />F :lSharedlRedwoodlCouncil <br /> <br /> <br />
