11/8/99 <br /> ORIGINAL <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 13778 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION <br /> OF AGREEMENT FOR TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE AND <br /> TRAINING FOR MICROENTERPRISES (SMALL BUSINESS <br /> DEVELOPMENT CENTER) <br /> <br /> CANADA COLLEGE EDUCATION AND <br /> TECHNOLOGY DOWNTOWN CENTER <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Canada College (Contractor) conducts a job training program for <br />residents of the City of Redwood City (the Program); and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Contractor has requested financial assistance in order to conduct <br />the Program during the fiscal year commencing July 1, 1999, and ending June 30, 2000; <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City has reviewed said request and desires to <br />allocate to Contractor, the sum of One Hundred Forty Thousand and no/100 Dollars <br />($140,000.00) from its Community Development Block Grant funds for the foregoing <br />purposes; and <br /> <br /> WltEREAS, an agreement providing for such funding has been presented to, and <br />reviewed by, this Council; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it is the intention and desire of this Council to approve said <br /> <br />agreement and authorize its execution; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br />CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> <br />
