9/27/99 ORIGINAL RFSOLUTION NO. 13747 RESOLUTION SETTING FORTH THE ADMINISTRATIVE CITATION SCHEDULE OF FINES AND OTHER PENALTIES FOR CERTAIN VIOLATIONS OF THE CITY CODE OF REDWOOD CITY WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Redwood City adopted an ordinance entitled, "Ordinance Adding Articles II and III to Chapter 1 to the Code of the City of Redwood City providing For Administrative Citations, Penalties and Remedies For Compliance and Administrative Orders, Respectively" (Ordinance 2179) on August 9, 1999 (the "Administrative Citation Ordinance"); and WHEREAS, the Administrative Citation Ordinance provides an administrative method for the enforcement of certain code sections of the City Code of Redwood City; and WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Redwood City desires to set fees and penalties in connection with the enforcement of the Administrative Citation Ordinance. NOW THEREFORE; BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. Standard Fine: Except as otherwise set forth in Section 2 below, the administrative citation fine amount for a first violation of the City Code of Redwood City shall be fifty dollars ($50.00). SECTION 2. Non-standard Fines: The administrative fines set forth below are hereby established for violations of the sections of the City Code of Redwood City listed below: Section Offense Administrative Citation Fine 3.6 Commercial handbills - identification of distributor to appear 100.00 3.62 Sign permit required: First violation 100.00 Second violation within a 12 month period 200.00 Third and each additional violation within a 12 month period 500.00 3.69 Temporary sign permit required 100.00 3.78 Sign regulations, general: First violation 100.00 Second violation within a 12 month period 200.00 Third and each additional violation within a 12 month period 500.00 Sb/council/Reso Reso-754.doc 09/22/99FXS 5:lg PM
