9/13/99 <br /> - ORIGINAL -- <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 13735 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING PURCHASE OF ELECTRONIC <br /> PARKING METER MECHANISMS AND REPAIR PARTS AND <br /> AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF PURCHASE DOCUMENTS IN <br /> CONNECTION THEREWITH <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 2.76 of the Redwood City Code, this <br />Council has suspended the requirements of Article VII of Chapter 2 of the Code <br />of the City of Redwood City relating to competitive bidding for the hereinafter <br />described purchase; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Department of Public Works Services requires electronic <br />parking meter mechanisms and various repair parts to facilitate the replacement <br />of existing older type parking meters; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this Council desires to approve the purchase of said parking <br />meter mechanisms and repair parts in an amount not to exceed Thirty-four <br /> <br />Thousand and No/100 Dollars ($34,000.00); <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br />CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> 1.
