8/23/99 <br /> <br /> ORIGI NAL-- <br /> <br /> (07/26/99) <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 13719 <br /> <br /> Resolution Approving And Authorizing Execution Of <br /> Agreement With Service League of San Mateo County-Emerg. Material Assistance <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Service League of San Mateo County-Emerg. Material Assistance is a private, non- <br />profit organization that provides motivation to adult prisoners, through programs and services, to <br />recognize their worth, and to encourage them to seek worthy goals and to behave in a responsible <br />manner, which services are in furtherance of the public health, welfare and benefit; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Service League of San Matee County-Emerg. Material Assistance, has requested <br />financial assistance for use by it in conducting its activities during the fiscal year commencing July 1, 1999 <br />and ending June 30, 2000; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City has reviewed said request and desires to enter into an <br />agreement with Service League of San Mateo County-Emerg. Material Assistance to provide financial <br /> <br />assistance in furtherance of its public purposes; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> That certain agreement (form dated 7/26/99), by and between the City of Redwood City and <br />Service League of San Mateo County-Emerg. Material Assistance a copy of which agreement is on file in <br />the office of the City Clerk, to which copy reference is hereby made for full particulars thereof, is hereby <br />approved, and the City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to execute the same for and on behalf <br />of the City of Redwood City. <br /> <br /> <br />
