8/23/99 <br /> <br /> ORIGINAL - <br /> <br /> (07/26/99) <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 13713 <br /> <br /> Resolution Approving And Authorizing Execution Of <br /> Agreement With Human Investment Project, Inc. (Self Sufficiency for Single Parents Program) <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Human Investment Project, Inc. (Self Sufficiency for Single Parents Program) is a <br />private, non-profit organization that provides assistance to alleviate and improve housing conditions of the <br />needy, the disabled, elderly and others whose housing needs are not being adequately met in Redwood <br />City and San Mateo County, which services are in furtherance of the public health, welfare and benefit; <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Human Investment Project, Inc. (Self Sufficiency for Single Parents Program), has <br />requested financial assistance for use by it in conducting its activities during the fiscal year commencing <br />July 1, 1999 and ending June 30, 2000; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City has reviewed said request and desires to enter into an <br />agreement with Human Investment Project, Inc. (Self Sufficiency'for Single Parents Program) to provide <br /> <br />financial assistance in furtherance of its public purposes; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> That certain agreement (form dated 7/26/99), by and between the City of Redwood City and <br />Human Investment Project, Inc. (Self Sufficiency for Single Parents Program) a copy of which agreement <br />is on file in the office of the City Clerk, to which copy reference is hereby made for full particulars thereof, <br />is hereby approved, and the City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to execute the same for and <br />on behalf of the City of Redwood City. <br /> <br /> <br />
