0 R I G I N A L 7/26/99 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 13683 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION REJECTING BID FOR THE MAIN LIBRARY RE- <br /> CARPETING PROJECT, DIRECTING RETURN OF BID <br /> SECURITY; AND AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING <br /> READVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS THEREFOR <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 13638, adopted May 24, 1999, <br />the City Clerk advertised for bids for the Main Library Re-carpeting Project, <br />Redwood City, California; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, in response to said advertisement, one bid was received; and <br />WHEREAS, this Council has determined that said bid exceeded the <br />amount estimated for the project and that the bid documents require clarification; <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, as a result thereof, this Council desires to exercise its <br />reserved right to reject the bid and to authorize and direct the City Clerk to <br /> <br />readvertise for bids for the work therein described; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br />CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> 1.
