6/28/99 <br /> ORIGINAL <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 13666 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING PAYMENT FOR <br /> REPAIRS TO BROADWAY STREET LIGHT CIRCUIT REPAIR <br /> PROJECT <br /> <br /> (Republic Electric) <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on August 31, 1998, the City of Redwood City entered into a <br /> purchase order with Republic Electric for the sum of $10,584 for the conversion <br /> of the Broadway/Charter street light circuit; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, during the course of the repairs, an unexpected number of <br /> conduit blockages were discovered; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the public interest, necessity and safety demanded that the <br /> <br /> project proceed to completion in the most expeditious manner; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br /> CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> 1. The public interest, necesity and safety demanded that the project <br /> proceed to completion in the most expeditious manner. <br /> <br /> 2.
