5/24/99 <br /> <br /> ORIGINAL <br /> <br /> RESOLUTIONON NO. 13641 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION <br /> OF JOINT EXERCISE OF POWERS AGREEMENT CONTINUING <br /> ESTABLISHMENT OF THE CITY/COUNTY ASSOCIATION OF <br /> GOVERNMENTS <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City, the County of San Mateo, and <br />certain other Cities located in the County of San Mateo desire to continue the <br />establishment of a City/County Association of Governments for the purpose of <br />preparing, adopting, monitoring and enforcing certain County-wide State <br />mandated plans; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, there has been presented to and reviewed by this Council an <br />agreement pursuant to which the City/County Association of Governments <br />heretofore established pursuant to the Joint Exercise of Powers Act (Govt. C. <br /> <br />{}6500 et seq.) shall continue in existence; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br />CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> That certain agreement entitled, "Joint Powers Agreement - Continuing <br /> Establishment of the City/County Association of Governments", (form dated <br /> Revised: March, 1999) pursuant to which the City of Redwood City, the County <br /> of San Mateo, and other Cities within San Mateo County specified in said <br /> agreement shall exercise jointly certain powers with respect to the preparation, <br /> adoption, monitoring and enforcement of certain County-wide State mandated <br /> <br /> Reso~69 1 <br /> F:/Shamd/Redwood/Council <br /> FXS:djk <br /> 05/14/99 <br /> <br /> <br />
