0 R I G I N A L 5/17/99 <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 13632 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION RESCINDING RESOLUTIONS NO. 11497 AND <br /> 12977 AND ESTABLISHING ARCHITECTURAL REVIEW <br /> COMMITTEE <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the economic vitality and quality of life in the City of <br />Redwood City is directly related to the architectural quality of development <br />therein; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Article 45 of Ordinance No. 1130, as amended, <br />the Redwood City Zoning Ordinance, architectural permits are required in <br />connection with the issuance of building permits for the construction of any <br />structure in any zoning district in the City; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, in providing architectural control for the enhancement of the <br />natural beauty of the environment, and to provide for the orderly and <br />harmonious appearance of structures and grounds in furtherance of the <br />purpose of said Article 45, this Council desires to provide the opportunity to <br />obtain expert professional advice in architectural matters; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on March 26, 1991, the Council established the <br />Architectural Advisory Committee, as evidenced by Resolution No. 11497; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on December 17, 1997, this Council amended Section 2 of <br />Resolution No. 11497, as evidenced by Resolution No. 12977; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this Council desires to modify the duties and responsibilities <br />of the Architectural Advisory Committee and change the name of said <br />Committee to the "Architectural Review Committee"; and <br /> <br />Reso-666 <br />F/sh/sh/RC/Counci 1 <br />FXS: rg <br />05/lO/99 <br /> <br /> <br />
