<br />09/25/2006 <br /> <br />ORIGINAL <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 14735 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROPRIATING CERTAIN FUNDS FOR SPECIFIED <br />PURPOSES TO CONFORM BUDGETED AMOUNTS TO ACTUAL <br />EXPENDITURES DURING FY 2006/07 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, during the course of a fiscal year, the City Council may take actions <br />that change or modify the City's existing and approved budgets; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, grants and revenue are received during the course of the fiscal year <br />which were not anticipated when the City's budgets were first approved; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Redwood City Police Department, having participated in the <br />arrest and conviction of persons involved in criminal acts, has been awarded some <br />Forty Thousand Dollars ($40,000.00) seized from such persons and such funds may <br />only be used to support law enforcement related activities; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, while said funds have been recorded as revenue within the Police <br />Forfeiture Fund and are not yet appropriated for expenditure; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Police Department desires to use said funds to purchase law <br />enforcement related equipment including the replacement of portable radios and video <br />surveillance recording devices for undercover operations. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />REDWOOD CITY AS FOllOWS: <br /> <br />1.
