0 R I G I N A L 4/26/99 <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 13613 <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY <br /> SUPPORTING THE BAY AREA CHARTER HIGH SCHOOL'S <br /> EFFORTS IN CREATING A CHARTER HIGH SCHOOL ON THE <br /> MID-PENINSULA <br /> <br />WHEREAS, an ad hoc task force of interested parents and community <br />members has been formed to create a charter high school on the mid- <br />Peninsula; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, their goal is to open an academically rigorous tuition-flee, <br />non-sectarian public high school by September 1999, open to all students in <br />the district in ninth through twelfth grades, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the self governing school will provide additional choice to <br />parents and students, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the community sees great potential benefit to the students and <br />families on the mid-Peninsula, who might choose to attend such a school. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City <br />of Redwood City, that we hereby support the concept of a charter high <br />school on the mid-Peninsula. <br /> <br /> <br />
