DES:sh:8/22/74 o R DIN A N C E --------- No.1612 ORIGINAL aP 16 '74 AN ORDINANCE FIXING THE AMOUNT OF MONEY TO BE RAISED BY TAXATION UPON THE TAXABLE PROPERTY WITHIN THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AS REVENUE TO CARRY ON THE VARIOUS DEPARTMENTS OF SAID CITY FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 1974-1975, TO PAY THE BONDED INDEBTEDNESS OF SAID CITY FALLING DUE AND BECOMING PAYABLE DURING SAID FISCAL YEAR TO- GETHER WITH THE INTEREST THEREON, TO MAINTAIN THE PUBLIC LIBRARY OF SAID CITY DURING SAID FISCAL YEAR, TO PROVIDE FUNDS FOR THE RETIREMENT PLAN, TO PROVIDE FUNDS FOR PARKING DISTRICT NO.1, TO PROVIDE FUNDS FOR GENERAL IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT NO. 1-64, AND FIXING AND LEVYING THE TAX RATE THEREFOR THE COUNCIL OF REmvOOD CITY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. GENERAL TAX REVENUE REQUIRED. The total amount of money to be raised by taxation upon the taxable property within the City of Redwood City to provide revenue to meet the general municipal expenses and to carry on the various departments of said City for the fiscal year July 1, 1974 - June 30, 1975; to pay the interest and principal upon all of the outstanding bonded indebtedness of said City, due and becoming payable during said fiscal year; to maintain the public library of said City during said fiscal year; and to provide funds for the city's contribution to the retirement plan voted at the municipal election on April 9, 1940; is hereby fixed at the total sum of Three Million, Five Hundred Ninety-six Thousand One Hundred Fifty-three and no/lOa dollars ($3,596,153.00). SECTION 2. REVENUE DETAIL AND DISTRICTS. The following general and special tax rates for the areas hereinafter set forth are hereby levied and fixed, for the fiscal year July 1, 1974 _ June 30, 1975, to raise the total revenues set forth in Section 1 hereof, and in addition thereto the amounts hereinafter set forth for Parking District No. 1 and General Improvement District No. 1-64, in the amounts set forth herein as follows, to wit: (a) Two Million Six Hundred Six Thousand Two Hundred Fifty-seven and no/lOa Dollars ($2,606,257.00) to meet the general municipal expenses during said fiscal year and for deposit in the <<::;\ 'f ~.: '"
