J 596 <br /> <br />ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 33.32 OF THE CODE OF THE <br />CITY OF REDHOOD CITY, RELATING TO SCHEDULE OF RATES <br />FOR TAXICABS; AND REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 1537 <br /> <br />THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOHS: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. Section 33.32 of the Code of the City of Redwood <br /> <br />City is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />"Section 33.32 <br /> <br />It shall be unlawful for the owner <br /> <br />or driver of any taxicab in the City to fix, charge or <br /> <br />collect for service a rate more or less than the following: <br /> <br />"1. For the first one-eighth mile, Eighty Cents. <br /> <br />"2. For each additional one-eighth mile, Ten Cents. <br /> <br />"3. When carrying passengers whose point of destina- <br />tion is different, the meter shall be turned <br />back to the 'for hire' position each time a <br />passenger is discharged and a fare collected. <br /> <br />"4. For each piece of luggage in excess of two <br />average size traveling bags, or their equivalent <br />in size, Ten Cents. <br /> <br />"5. For waiting time, Eight Dollars per hour; <br />provided, however, that charges for waiting time <br />of less than one hour shall be reduced propor- <br />tionately. <br /> <br />"6. Scrip may be issued at a discount of ten per cent <br />upon sale of each Five Dollars of scrip tickets <br />as a unit." <br /> <br />SECTION 2. Ordinance No. 1537, entitled "Ordinance Amending <br /> <br />Section 33.32 of the Code of the City of Redwood City, Relating <br /> <br />to Schedule of Rates for Taxicabs," adopted June 20, 1972, is <br /> <br />hereby repealed. <br /> <br />SECTION 3.
