<br />DESiYC:8/27/73 R <br /> <br />ORIGINAL <br /> <br />~U' 11 '1~ <br /> <br />o R DIN A N C E <br /> <br />N o. /53'tJ <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 5 OF ORDINANCE NO. 1556, <br />ESTABLISHING SALARIES FOR CERTAIN DESIGNATED EMPLOYEES <br />OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AND RELATING TO POSITIONS <br />FILLED BY COUNCIL APPOINTMENT <br /> <br />THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. Section 5 of Ordinance No. 1556, entitled <br /> <br />"Ordinance Establishing Salaries for Certain Designated Employees <br /> <br />of the City of Redwood City; Repealing Sections II, 12, 13, 14, <br /> <br />15, 16 and 17 of Ordinance No. 1519," adopted February 5, 1973, <br /> <br />is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />"Section 5. For the positions filled by Council <br /> <br />appointment, monthly salary rates and/or monthly salary <br /> <br />ranges are hereby established as hereinafter set forth: <br /> <br />"(a) The City Clerk shall receive a monthly salary <br /> <br />rate established within a range of $1,039 to $1,A19. <br /> <br />"(b) The City Treasurer-Collector shall receive a <br /> <br />monthly salary rate established within a range <br /> <br />of $1,091 to $1,490. <br /> <br />"(c) The City Controller (holding consolidated offices <br /> <br />of City Auditor and City Assessor) shall receive <br /> <br />a monthly salary rate established within a range <br /> <br />of $1,561 to $2,133. <br /> <br />"(d) The City Attorney shall receive a monthly salary <br /> <br />rate established within a range of $1,7l0 to $2,337. <br /> <br />"(e) The City Manager shall receive a monthly salary <br /> <br />of $2,652. <br /> <br />"Honthly salary rates for Council appointees shall be <br /> <br />established and may be adjusted within the foregoing desig- <br /> <br />nated salary ranges by motion of the City Council duly made <br /> <br />and carried." <br />
