<br />MSR: ef: 8/10/7 3 <br />DES:lt:8/22/73 (REV) <br /> <br />ORIGINAL <br /> <br />SiP 11 '13 <br /> <br />ORD,!NANCE <br /> <br />No./57S <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE FIXING THE AMOUNT OF MONEY TO BE RAISED <br />BY TAXATION UPON THE TAXABLE PROPERTY WITHIN THE CITY <br />OF REDWOOD CITY AS REVENUE TO CARRY ON THE VARIOUS <br />DEPARTMENTS OF SAID CITY FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 1973-1974, <br />TO PAY THE BONDED INDEBTEDNESS OF SAID CITY FALLING <br />DUE AND BECOMING PAYABLE DURING SAID FISCAL YEAR TO- <br />GETHER WITH THE INTEREST THEREON, TO MAINTAIN THE PUBLIC <br />LIBRARY OF SAID CITY DURING SAID FISCAL YEAR, TO PROVIDE <br />FUNDS FOR THE RETIREMENT PLAN, TO PROVIDE FUNDS FOR <br />PARKING DISTRICT NO.1, TO PROVIDE FUNDS FOR GENERAL <br />IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT NO. 1-64, AND FIXING AND LEVYING <br />THE TAX RATE THEREFOR <br /> <br />THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. GENERAL TAX REVENUE REQUIRED. The total amount <br /> <br />of money to be raised by taxation upon the taxable property <br /> <br />within the city of Redwood city to provide revenue to meet the <br /> <br />general municipal expenses and to carryon the various departments <br /> <br />of said city for the fiscal year July 1, 1973 - June 30, 1974; to <br /> <br />pay the interest and principal upon all of the outstanding bonded <br /> <br />indebtedness of said city, due and becoming payable during said <br /> <br />fiscal year; to maintain the public library of said city during <br /> <br />said fiscal year: and to provide funds for the city's contribution <br /> <br />to the retirement plan voted at the municipal election on April 9, <br /> <br />1940; is hereby fixed at the total sum of Three Million, Two <br /> <br />Hundred Ninety-four Thousand and no/100 Dollars ($3,294,000.00). <br /> <br />SECTION 2. REVENUE DETAIL AND DISTRICTS. The following <br /> <br />general and special tax rates for the areas hereinafter set forth <br /> <br />are hereby levied and fixed for the fiscal year July 1, 1973 - <br /> <br />June 30, 1974, to raise the total revenues set forth in Section 1 <br /> <br />hereof, and ~n addition thereto the amounts hereinafter set forth <br /> <br />for parking District No. 1 and General Improvement District No. <br /> <br />1-64, in the amounts set forth herein as follows, to wit: <br /> <br />(a) TwO Million Five Hundred Forty-four Thousand Nine Hundred <br /> <br />Seven and no/100 Dollars ($2,544,907.00) to meet the general <br /> <br />municipal expenses during said fiscal year and for deposit in the <br />
