IS Sf ORIGINAL DEe 18 72 AN ORDINANCE REPEALING DIVISION 2 OF, ADDING DIVISIONS 2 AND 3 TO, ARTICLE II OF CHAPTER 5, AMENDING SECTION 5.60 OF AND ADDING SECTION 5.65.5 TO, THE CODE OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, RELATING TO THE ADMINISTERING OF CANINE ANTI-RABIES VACCINATION THE COUNCIL. OF REDWOOD CITY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. Division 2 of Article II of Chapter 5 of the Code of the city of Redwood city is hereby repealed. SECTION 2. Division 2 is hereby added to Article II of Chapter 5 of the Code of the city of Redwood city to read as follows: "DIVISION 2. LICENSES. '''Section 5.20 An annual license fee of Six Dollars ($6.00) shall be paid for every male dog and unspayed female dog over the age of three months owned and harbored in this city. An annual license fee of Three Dollars ($3.00) shall be paid for every spayed female dog over the age of three months owned and harbored in this city, upon presentation of proof that such dog has been spayed. Prior to issuance of a license for any dog over the age of four months proof shall be submitted of vaccination (or exemption therefrom) of such dog in accordance with the provisions of Division 3 of this Chapter. The annual license fee shall be due the first day of January of each year, and any person who fails to pay such license fee within 60 days after the fee is due, or the dog is required to be licensed, shall pay a penalty of Two Dollars ($2~00) in addition to the payment of the license fee herein required. "Section 5.21 A license sha).l be obtained but no '- -, license fee shall be payable for the licensing of any dog which is being used for guide purposes by a blind resident of the ci~y, or for dogs which have served as a member of the armed forces of the united States of America during any period of actual hostilities.
